I hadn't thought of that before, that (many) pedophiles have a view of sexuality which is similar/identical to that of children. I'd say that maybe that'd point to us having an attraction to people with the same views on sexuality (a kind of mental homosexuality, heh) but then I'd think that we'd be attracted to the personalities of some other peds and not just children's personalities. As to why the general attraction to children, my best guess would be a conditioning set up throughout childhood of associating children with the 'desired' (i.e. compatible) sexuality, and associating adults with the 'undesired' sexuality. That'd also imply that people raised in an environment of healthy sexuality would be statistically less likely to become pedophiles, which is a testable hypothesis.
