I think that either nothing happened, or there is mutual consent and she's trying to protect him(God bless her soul). Forcing minors to testify against their will is the law in California since the Jordan Chandler 1993 $20 million settlement with Michael Jackson, but I believe that's only when the minor has already accused the defendant(?). This girl has denied anything happened, so I think that she can just tell the truth in court and be vindicated. However she may be worried about committing perjury if they are in a romantic relationship, which may be why she failed to show up in court in the first place and why she's requesting a lawyer. Getting a lawyer is a smart move because they can work it out so she can testify without perjuring herself(pleading the 5th?).
