This is indeed a horrific tragedy.

It's horrific in the sense of what happened to this girl. I can't imagine the type of monster that would do a thing like this. I hope he is found and thrown into prison to rot there for life.

It's also horrific in the sense that the MAA community will be blamed for this, a hideous but thankfully rare crime like this will be cited as an epidemic, and more laws against MAA's will be justified. This despite the fact that we have no idea that an actual MAA was involved in this crime, but rather some aberration of humanity that defies any types of characterization.
