I am saddened to learn of this tragedy that has befallen an innocent little girl. You are right that this should be our first and primary concern, and if it were not for an environment that will almost certainly turn this tragedy into cause for yet another tragedy, affecting many innocent men of our persuasion, it would be much easier to make our mourning for her a greater priority. Unfortunately, this is not so, and self-preservation is a very natural and high priority item for all humans.

Still, I am saddened to hear of another victim of some psychopath.
