And.....Tolerance.....

On the flip side of seeing hatred, I've been blessed this past year to see tolerance and acceptance to. I am working with someone who would likely be characterized as a "child advocate", and whose goals and those I laid out in my class action certification correspond. She recently presented a paper to a varied group of law enforcement, social workers, etc., arguing that we should be accepted freely into society. She said:

"People listened very attentively to the 20-minute paper and the half-hour discussion period afterwards was almost entirely devoted to exploring issues raised in my paper. The audience was around 50/50 men and women, around 55 people in total I think. People asked thoughtful and open-minded questions....Afterwards, they continued to say how thought-provoking they had found it. Altogether, I was really pleased with how well it went."

She is writing a book entitled "Tick-Tock Baby: Living With Paedophiles in Society".
