it's probably complicated and historical, but you're right: sexuality is demonized and our pleasure is stolen from us. not only then, but then it's sold back to us in other forms. we crave true, honest sensuality but instead are given factory-made corporate versions of this through movies, television, and various products (which use sexuality-fueled advertisements to do the trick).
not only that, but good people's hearts are not nourished. when people don't have fulfilling sex lives, their days are that much less meaningful, so to make up for it they work longer hours, buy more crap and spend their time thinking about how GOOD they are. good questions, violet. very good!! next, a letter to the editor in the local paper? :) --endlestar ![]() |
