Does someone with hemophilia have a love of blood?

Someone answers, "No, Humanist. It's a disease! A person with hemophilia has blood that does not coagulate as it is supposed to, and the person may bleed to death with even a minor cut."

I respond, "You don't seem to understand that "-philia" is the latin root meaning 'love'. You are misjudging the intentions of anyone with hemophilia with such a bigoted attitude. These people truly love their blood, and that is not a sickness!"

Spike, if I got up in front of a group of psychiatrists with that sort of reasoning for why pedophilia is not an illness, I would be laughed out of the auditorium. Anyone else using that line of reasoning on radio or television would be laughed out of the studio.
