The threat of emancipation can also have adverse effects.
Admittedly parents shouldnt be forced into treating their children differently. I dont believe that any parent who has to be forced/maniuplated into showing their child affection should be allowed to have one.

We have also seen parents avoid giving their children affection for fear of being accused of sexual misconduct.

Emancipation can mean protection for the young, however it shouldnt be misused/abused.
