Police admit investigation has hit a dead end.

The police have decided to release the second suspect in the Ashkelon pedophile investigation today (Monday). Meanwhile, a police officer admitted that the investigation is at a dead end.
The second suspect, a 55 year-old man, was arrested last weekend after the first suspect, a 23 year-old man, was released when a 4 year-old victim failed to identify him in a line-up.
The second suspect was arrested after parents of children attending the kindergarten reported that he would occasionally go into the bathroom facilities at the kindergarten.
The decision to release the second suspect was taken after police failed to find evidence implicating him in the affair. Police sources criticized the arrest, saying it resulted from pressure by the parents. The police also criticized the kindergartens management for failing to check the past record of the two suspects.

It is a shame that the police are susceptible to public pressure even as far as Israel.
I find it interesting when it says, "the kindergarten reported that he would occasionally go into the bathroom facilities at the kindergarten." Really? The man occasionally went to the bathroom? How bizarre.
