I understand your point, and to a certain extent, I agree. But I have a bit of a different view. The way I see it, America is only "under God" in the sense that God is up there and we are down here. America is not a godly nation. Would a godly nation go around the world making war and forcing its will upon others? Would a godly nation approve the slaughter of the unborn? I don't think so. (I could mention plenty of other things, but I think you get the point.) America is not a nation under God, but under Satan. To call America a "nation under God" is a lie and an affront to God.
