Hi Itinerant Giggles!
> >The fact is, neither sexual experimentation, nor erotic engagements > > with a partner of their choice, is harmful for children." > > How do you kow? If something causes harm to somebody, isn't it usually very easy to see? As examples: a) Punching somebody in the stomach -> squashed stomach and stressed cells -> pain signal going through the NS to the brain -> victim shouts out an "oooh" sound -> unhappiness b) Raping somebody -> victim being forced to do something they don't want -> displeasure -> unhappiness -> possible trauma and fear of it happening again. c) Stealing somebody's money -> victim having less money than before -> victim has less money to buy stuff that makes her happy or victim ends up with not enough money to buy life's necessities -> victim is unhappy d) Making fun of somebody -> if it goes against victim's desire, will cause displeasure -> unhappiness Anyways, I think I've given enough examples. It seems to me that whenever something or some action harms a person, it is usually very very obvious that it does. Can you either: a) Give me examples that don't involve sex in which the action harms the person but it is unclear how the harm is being produced? or b) Explain to me, in the same way that I have done above, how "sexual experimentation or erotic engagements with the partner of their choice" harms a child? Basically, if 28 is wrong about his statement above, then you should be able to give me an answer to at least either a) or b). - Heartfallen |
