Define "natural". And don't specifically define the word in such a way that it purposely supports your statement.
> It's how our "must-ensure-the-survival-of-the-species" radar constantly works.
Evolution is not some perfect machine that filters out all DNA that causes people to be attracted to things that don't help propagate the species. In fact, it never meant to do that. It's just survival of the fittest, and if the fittest so far happened to have been attracted to other things, so be it.
By your thought process the "must-ensure-the-survival-of-the-species" would make sure that 100% of all humans are ultra powerful, and there are no weak people, no thin people, no overweight people, no people who don't like to run (you need to run away from predators to survive). So I guess everybody loves to run, and runs real fast right?
> But I cant help but feel/think that pedophilia and homosexuality are somewhat of a "glitch" in the natural order of things.
Everybody has different tastes. Does everybody like the same foods? Does everybody find the same colors to be the most beautiful? Does everybody find the same actresses to be beautiful? Does everybody like the same music?
If you can accept that it's normal for people to have different tastes in: music, food, actresses, colors, sexual positions, tv shows, dancing styles, pets, and so on. Why is "sexual attraction" or "attraction to humans" the ONE taste you have to draw the line on? It's not any different than all the other tastes in the world.
"sexual preference" is just another taste, it's not some special thing that is totally different from "favorite foods". I love junk food, and I eat it all the time and make myself sick because of it... I guess there goes the survival of my species. Oh wait, it's the same species as yours.
If you can accept that somebody who doesn't like pizza doesn't have some kind of a glitch in his head, then you should accept that girl lovers don't have any kind of glitch either. Everybody's different. Learn to accept that not everybody has to like the same kind of music as you to be normal.
