I suspect that the Pedophile orientation is no more or less genetic than the distribution of any other minority sexual orientation. The majority one is transmitted by culture and enforced through societal rewards and punishments; which makes it much harder to determine just what is genuine heterosexuality and what is the closet.

OTOH, I have little info on a genetic predisposition towards rape. I don't know if it runs in families as something other than an acting out of what was seen by or visited upon the children in a family where such abuse happens.

Those who are struck are more likely to resort to violence themselves, but would twin studies show that violence and sexual violence are just as strong in families when they're reared apart?

I know that my father has some pedo tendencies, though more on the hebe side. But on the whole, from what I know of his interests, he's more predominantly teleio-hetero. As for my own twin. I have no reason to believe that Derek shares my Pedophilia despite sharing a genome.

Do be careful with the cute girl pics, particularly those taken off the Internet. Be aware that many child model series have been found to be illegal despite the fact that the girls were clothed and that no sexual activity is depicted. Apparently "sexual coyness" and a presumed focus on the erogenous zones are all that it takes.

Me? I've got a poster of Jackie Evancho. But since it came from a calendar retailed to tween girls in my jurisdiction, I'm sure that the vast army of corporate lawyers have vetted it for me. :)

As for affairs of the heart. It might be best to keep to the sort of activities that wouldn't be out of place in an episode of Happy Days or a Judy Garland/Mickey Rooney movie. ( Yes, you should definitely get all the neighborhood kids together and put on a musical review in the old barn. )

Even though it can be frustrating for the girl as well as yourself, you should think of her well-being and avoid involving her in any criminal activity that could turn her into prey for ambitious prosecutors. They've been known to harass girls into coerced confessions and have even thrown them into jail for refusing to testify against their lover. Worse yet it could lead to her being removed from her home and getting placed into the foster care system which is rife with ACTUAL abuse and rape.
