Confession. I haven't yet seen Hotel Transylvania, the animated movie where she provides the voice of a character originally written for Miley to voice. Nor did I see that horror film Aftershock with the small cameo of Selena playing herself.

But essentially I've seen everything else, even the film Behaving Badly that was disowned by the guy who wrote the book it was based on. Behaving Badly is interesting and it has its worthwhile performances, but overall its tone keeps shifting. And there are some characters so excruciatingly annoying that you want to edit them out of the film entirely. ( Unfortunately one such character follows the protagonist through the entire film. )

Again, after The Getaway, I've been wondering about her choices. The Getaway is OK, but its the kind of action thriller where you see a fruit stand and you know that its gotta be driven through. And while she is good in it as is Ethan Hawk, both have done much better.

Following that up with Behaving Badly? While I can kind of admire her courage in appearing in what is essentially a raunchy teen sex-comedy, that's not a genre that has facilitated much great acting opportunities. The only teen sex comedy that I think is truly touched by genius is Natl Lampoon's Eurotrip.

Anywho, I'm looking forward to seeing her follow up on the promise of her previous work. Hopefully Rudderless has some good work in it.

Since I've faithfully bought the CDs I'm not sure about buying the greatest hits collection just for the two new tracks.

But being signed to a new label which has nothing to do with Disney seems like a sound move.

And I think that all of us who love this young woman are glad to see the relationship with the increasingly erratic Bieber over.

I do have a small "shrine" to her. Although it hasn't had any new additions since the Spring Breakers poster.
