Oh I mentioned it at GC in August when it went into general distribution and I saw it.

At this point we're just a few weeks away from the DVD release date.

The film feels so coherent and focused that you entirely forget while watching it that it was filmed over a 12 year period. It feels like any other film, except that you know that the director couldn't have said, "OK, we're done with today's scenes, be on set tomorrow and be 2 years older."

I joked at the time that DeNiro gained a lot of weight for Raging Bull and Christian Bale lost a lot for The Mechanic, but they've got nothing on Ellar Coltrane, who added 12 years for this role.

And fortunately for my status as a GLer, Coltrane finally ages out of being the prettiest one on the set and allows some of the girls a chance to shine. :)
