No doubt, my friend, most adults project the dysfunctions of adult sexuality upon the MAP and the child/young teen alike. They presume that MAP sexuality is identical to adult sexuality, except we want to commit all these typical adult acts upon a child. Not true. Even hebephiles tend to have lower intensity sexual desires, and prefer what younger people refer to as "making out" to full blown intercourse.

In fact, one of the things I've had to learn to do, even when dating young women of legal age, is to adapt myself to the typically higher intensity sexual demands/desires of adult women (not counting those who are naturally asexual or who have certain phobias about sexual intimacy, of course0. This is another difficulty that the law-abiding MAP has to face, but society isn't sympathetic about this either, because in their eyes, this is what we "should" be doing; this is the type of sexual activity that we "should" want to engage in.

In fact, being law-abiding is still not enough for many people when it comes to MAPs who are in their 40s, like myself. I'm oftentimes considered immoral for routinely dating (when I do date) younger women in the age range of 18-mid-20s (sometimes settling for women in their early 30s), because I'm told that I "should" desire to be intimate with women approaching middle age... whom I generally do not find attractive on any level. Of course, according to mainstream bias, lying to a woman approaching middle age and leading her on is more ethically acceptable to society than dating someone of legal age whom I am actually attracted to on all levels, and can provide real romantic love and affection to. More on this in a separate post I plan to make later.

I think a lot of it might be projection as well. Adult sexuality is all messed up in most developed nations. Men fuck and women are fucked. Men hunt and women are the prey. Even though female sexuality is more accepted and open this idea is still prevalent.

I've always maintained that double standard style prejudice towards male sexuality - which maintains that male sexuality is inherently predatory - is a major component of the AoC laws. You will notice that female MAPs are, for the most part, left alone or overlooked in comparison to male MAPs. This is one of the main reasons pedosexuality and hebesexuality are often seen as a strictly male phenomenon. There does seem to be more male MAPs than females, no doubt, but female MAPs are hardly as tiny in number as believed, particularly when it comes to female GLer's. They just mostly stay out of the spotlight, since they are, frankly, benefited by the disproportionate degree of scrutiny given to male MAPs and to the "problems" of male sexuality in a general sense. This is not an attempt to cast aspersions on them; female MAPs are way cool!

I'm just stating a clear fact, which is something that female MAPs I've met in the community through the years have confided to me behind the scenes. This is another reason why female MAPs have refused to engage in interviews and studies as their male counterparts have in the past.
