Rationally, I can think up hypothetical situations where the only difference is the type of toy/entertainment device handed out. E.g., open-minded, reasonable parents with respect for the autonomous will of the child, who introduce a toy just because it is something that people older than the child have found joy-bringing, and therefore figure the child will enjoy.

When it comes to an assessment of real situations, I wouldn't have the same expectations for such two cases, given only those descriptions.
A case of parents introducing their kids to sex toys, could, in my mind, be a case of the parents doing what they do because it turns them on. It brings associations of cases of parents introducing their kids to sex in an unhealthy way, because it is driven by the sexual excitement of the parents and not by the interest or curiosity of the kid, to the detriment of the child's well-being.

If someone introduces their kids to a Nintendo, I don't associate it with parents being stimulated in a way that resembles sexual stimulation, so that their introducing the Nintendo is for their own pleasure.

Shorter version: the two situations could be the same, but my associations/expectations aren't the same.
