David Cameron has warned paedophiles that they have “nowhere to hide” as he announced that Britain’s spies and police will join forces to break up the “dark web”.

The Prime Minister announced that GCHQ and the National Crime Agency will form a new unit to “shine a light” on encrypted internet networks which are used by sex offenders to share “sickening” images of abuse.

“The so-called ‘dark-net’ is increasingly being used by paedophiles to view sickening images. I want them to hear loud and clear; ‘We are shining a light on the webs darkest corners. If you are thinking of offending there will be nowhere for you to hide.’”
