When I was in sixth grade my mom was a substitute in one of my classes. A couple of the eight graders said they wanted to have sex with my mom. I didn't really care. My friend explained to me why I should care. They were saying it more so as an insult and I just didn't get that.

For me, the Westermarck Effect only makes me twinge when I think of actual sex acts with my parents. It's more so a "don't feel like doing that" like when I think of gay sex "don't feel like doing that".

Many adults in more sexually open countries allow their teens to have sex in the house. I feel the Westermarck Effect's Effects are compounded by anti-sexual culture. I have cousins that I was imprinted with the Westermarck Effect with because we were basically raised like siblings. Her banging guys doesn't bother me, but me thinking of banging her is uninteresting to me.

Just my perspective.
