I was so hoping for a longer business plan. Anyways... 1. Decide if you're an open foundation or a shadowy web entity. Both have their uses. If you're an open foundation, you'll probably need to file for incorporation; it's $50-100 in most states of the US. If you're a shadowy web entity, you just need a website. 2. Decide how you're going to accept donations... Seeing as the US, for instance, is a shithole of an antidemocratic terror regime, most of your donor base isn't going to want to be listed - y'know, just in case your donor list gets "accidentally" raided a la Steve Jackson Games, NORML, et cetera. You will need anonymous donation. Look into bitcoin. If you're an open foundation, you can also do the PO box thing. 3. Have a much clearer business plan than the one you posted here, and financial transparency. The donor base is probably going to care. ...this is just how you get money and identity; if you have specific goals, well, post away. ..and yes, you can start an open foundation fairly anonymously, it's just a moderately expensive startup. |
