I understood you.
I was out with my wife and friends a few weeks back when my wife said something a bit rude and a friend laughed out "woh, sorry mate, she's coming home with me tonight." Everyone laughed because it was just light hearted banter. I didn't stand up and say "nooooo, you're a heterosexual, my wife is a woman, you just said a reference about taking her home, you are a danger and must be stopped!!!!". No, I know he's a heterosexual and a regular guy and good friend and it was a light hearted comment. I think what you're referring to is that you want to be accepted in just the same way regardless of your sexual preferences so you could make a comment with those around you knowing your sexuality and have them understand your comment in context. So a girl might come out in a swim suit and looking smoking hot or she might make some funny comment and you could say "woh, she's stunning" and not have it interpreted as you want to rape her. Seems reasonable to me but that's where I think things need to develop. Society needs to stop seeing pedophiles as monsters and dangers but as regular people with a particular attraction which doesn't make them any more of a risk than other people with a particular attraction. |
