Social construct or universal truth?

The only question of value should not be whether being a pedophile is bad because I really can't see why that alone would make anyone bad or different from everyone else. The only question should be whether such relationships should be permitted, whether it can be healthy, whether as a society it can be accepted in any way.

For instance in some countries it is not considered healthy, acceptable or moral for a Muslim to have a relationship with a Christian. The clashes of faith could cause stress, danger and harm to either party. They could be rejected by family and the clashes of fundamental belief could result in serious marital problems and create a risk of abuse so such relationships are even illegal.

I understand why in such a society there is an argument for such relationships to be banned but that's because of the social structure in that country. In another country there are different constructs that could mean other relationships could be a danger and should be discouraged or even banned. Whether in the west, a relationship between an adult and child should be banned I would argue is a social question in much the same way. If I went to a tribe in South America tomorrow and found that it was common for young girls to enjoy sexual relationships with an adult partner within that tribe would it be morally right for me to impose my western social view on them or is that a healthy situation for that tribe?

I don't think there's any value in debating whether someone attracted to young girls is of any more danger or less value than someone attracted to older females or ethnic partners. Attraction is just attraction, something everyone has.

What do people think?
Is it just a social construct and is it a healthy social construct in the west?
Or is it a universal truth that such relationships are always wrong regardless of society?
