Most people think, in regards to children, that consent once means consent forever. That's how they react when discussing allowing children to consent. In reality it would go like this "can I touch your vagina?" she says "yeah sure" a one second touch and she says "no I don't like that" and guess what? If he ignores that withdrawal of consent he is committing a crime.

However, I think it is just a cover. Even when kids are actually molested, they still seek out sexual contact after feeling how good it feels physically. They are then typically punished and indoctrinated, but the fact remains if a child has consented and has fun, it is very likely they will not withdraw consent unless something is painful. They will then continue to seek out more interactions. It will then destroy the myth that kids are asexual and don't like sexual contact, especially with adults.

Anyway I agree, the lack of free choice for the child actually makes the situation worse for them. Just as it did for women in the early to mid 1900s.
