Here's to hoping! I'd like to see at least the beginning of it before I die. And with the internet, religious and anti-sex groups can't use smear campaigns to shame people away from it like last time.
I look at it like this. When Columbine happened politicians were able to manipulate people to enact restrictions on firearm ownership. Back then, it was more difficult to get unbiased info and most people relied on the media, which is the right hand of the government. Recently with the Sandy Hook shooting the government tried the same, but instead, thanks to free and easy access of information, people saw the truth and firearm's restrictions actually loosened up overall. Same will happen, the sex revolution of the 2000s will pick up, people will try to smear and shame it back down, but with ease of access of unbiased info, the truth is much more likely to prevail. Let's hope the internet isn't regulated by thenm, if that's even possible. |
