I would like to respond to this survey, but as the site to which you have linked will not even display without javascript, sadly, I cannot. If the site requires javascript in order to submit the answers (of course there is no reason that it should) you could at least show me something so that I can make an informed decision about whether there is a good reason for me to enable it in my browser.
This is unfortunate as I understand the importance of research in this area and would like to contribute. I have experienced MHPs with an unrealistic idea of what to expect from a MAP, as they had only had access to studies of convicted offenders. This is not an experience I am keen to repeat. I'm sure that you can understand that "we will use technology that will potentially unnecessarily expose identifying information behind the scenes, but don't worry, you can trust us not to tell anyone when we do" sounds less appealing than "we will not use technology that will potentially unnecessarily expose identifying information behind the scenes." I am out in rl, and had to deal with consequences of that. I have no desire to go through the whole thing again because someone collected identifying information on the internet. The internet has a longer reach than most in rl do. |
