Myself, I am doing just fine as it is without being psychoanalyzed by shrinks.
Sure, that's fine. I'm at a point in my life where I'm doing fine without such a thing too, but I like dialoging with the mental health community about what our community is really like and what some of us may want out of mental health treatment when or if we need it. My view on research about pedophiles is that no research is good for pedos because it keeps the enemy guessing, they have no intel and don't know what will come next or what best works to stop them. I'm not quite sure I'm following you. The research keeps the enemy guessing? Or a lack of research keeps the enemy guessing? Do you mean enemies as in mental health professionals, or anti organizations that could supposedly use this research against us? Either way I don't think any of the information that could come out of this survey will be anything resembling secret battle strategies, but maybe I'm not correctly interpreting what you're saying. Anyway, it certainly is voluntary, and quite harmless. I can see how people might think there's a lot of surveys on the go, but aside from how I think they could be potentially important, they're also kind of fun and neat to take and even though questions like these are limited in how we can express our thoughts, I think it's great that more and more people are somewhat interested din our community. |
