Actually you are the one doing that by turning everything into an ad hominem ( from the Latin for "to the person." ) I would like to discuss the merits of ideas, what we can learn from history, the arts, philosophy. You insist on trying to distract from the ideas by making ME the topic of your screeds. Maybe qtns has the right idea of arising from the ashes with a new nick every year or so. Then again, I'd probably be accused of sock-puppetry if I tried it. But at least it means that most of the criticisms of his ideas don't begin and end with the nick above the post; and consist of mostly talking about the poster.

Be that as it may, its not what GC is built for. How often do I have to say it, "We are not an activist forum." Further ANY open forum like ours would be a bad place to launch a coherent campaign from. We don't moderate for "values" or "goals" or anything someone trying to promote a single vision would. We are an open forum moderated only to keep ourselves from being shut down.

A blog is much better suited than an open public forum. And what public faces have emerged for the movement have emerged from the blogosphere; whether Lindsay's Puellula or Tom O'Carroll's Heretic TOC. There a single vision can emerge.

But I believe that free speech is also a worthy goal, even if the "Pedo with a thousand heads" will never speak a single message in unison.

I think that bouncing these ideas around and off of others creates a space where great ideas can emerge. Its not about their authorship, and not about their popularity. If something said here can be adapted for use elsewhere and leads to something good, then I don't care if the trail goes cold and GC isn't cited.
