Thanks Dissy! Wait, is it alright if I call you that? :)

We've crossed paths on here before. I was wondering what had happened to ya. Glad to see you're back. I tend to come and go too but I haven't been as busy lately so I'm online more these days.

Your rebuttal is dead-on. I'm familiar with Paul Okami and his research. I have a lot of it saved on my computer. He has some very eye opening research about the origins of the CSA industry.

Another individual who has tackled the power imbalance argument in-depth is Tom O'Carroll. In chapter 9 of Pedophilia: The Radical Case he makes some very sharp points.

It's pretty irrefutable that every relationship contains discrepancies of power in terms of issues such as effort, experience, and emotions. Here is something else I posted on another thread:

Consider also the principle of least interest – a familiar, very relevant archetype. The law of human nature that in any interpersonal relationship the party who has the greater influence is the one who is the most casual about maintaining it. The more involved person, eager to maintain the relationship, defers to the lesser interested person’s wishes. In a pedophiliac relationship this holder of power would in many situations be the kid since kids don’t view relationships or sex in terms of long-term commitment, their interests change, and love to them is essentially infatuation. This is especially the case when they can obtain attention and other desired companionship elsewhere. Power dynamics can get dicey if the younger party does feel particularly dependent on the older, in which case the adult would have to be more cautious about how they exercise their influence.
