No one should be too anxious about the possibility of honeybees going extinct. Yes, it would be a shame and I'm all in favor of taking actions to prevent it, but most of our crops do not require pollinators at all, and those that do can use other types of bees that are not suffering from colony collapse disorder. Honeybees are not even native to the New World.
