Glad to hear it, I know how difficult it can be when apart from someone so special.

On a much smaller scale I had a similar experience with a lgf. For my the girl is someone very special who I've known for many many years, since preschool in fact. I'm good friends with her parents who had very busy lives so to help them out I'd help in various ways such as taking her to preschool and baby sitting etc. As a result we developed a close bond and I would always look forward to our time together.

Then several years ago she moved to a different primary school and my life got very busy so I stopped being able to help with school runs or baby sitting and we just stopped seeing each other so much until around a year ago we just stopped seeing each other at all. Then a month ago I was working on the car outside when her mum came walking up the street with her precious daughter in tow when that special lg just came running up and hugged me. I was talking to her mum but she just couldn't stop grinning and staring, she was clearly just so happy to see me again. Her mum asked me if I'd be able to babysit one evening so I asked her daughter if she'd like that and she just blurted out "yes, please do" so her mum was laughing and saying "clearly she's missed you". To be honest I'd assumed she'd have moved on with new friends so I was just so happy that she still wanted me so much.

So I know how nice it can be to rekindle past love so I'm really pleased for you. I hope you have a wonderful relationship.
