GirlChat #601519
The new law has a number of problems, but I am curious how the government is going to deal with the obvious corollary to their "Yes means Yes" campaign.
With "No means No" there is not a conflict when it comes to minors - a girl's "No" (to sex, but only to sex) means "No" just as much as it would if she were 63, and the fact that her "Yes" also means "No" does not directly conflict with the catchphrase. But with everyone proclaiming "Yes means Yes", what is the 15 year old going to think when she is told that her sexuality does not belong to herself? |
