He cycles through these moods rather predictably. Most new posters encounter him in a more generally positive mood, and are somewhat taken aback when they see this side for the first time.

In the past some had assumed that the cycle meant that his account had been hacked by a hostile impersonator. But the old hands sigh, explain that this isn't new, and onward it goes.

OTOH, once you've seen it in regard to claims about GLers or GL, you will notice that its a recurring theme when even OT things such as politics or the arts enter the fray.
