GirlChat #601399
From what I saw as a child, children are actually more likely to report someone for doing something to them that they dislike, sexual or not.
Below is a link to a compendium of sex abuse survivor stories. I've started reading some. Not sure whether I'll get to them all or not, but I'm hoping to compile some statistics. But before you raise angry objections, let me say why I am raising this. I suspect most of them are about rapes of young teens by men who aren't pedophiles. I get that -- I am not trying to pin this horror on "girl lovers". I like to think none of us would do things like what I suspect most of these stories are about. http://www.pandys.org/escapinghades/Survivors177.html But in just the first few stories, I see a deep reluctance on the part of these girls to tell anybody about what happened. I think kids who do report even these clearly non-consensual cases are a minority, and the number who make false allegations are a tiny minority. |
