I recently saw an article about how its not just Putin who lives in an alternate reality. Many Russians believe what they read in the tabloids.

Sure the Ukraine is suicidal. And there was no meteorite in Chelyabinsk, just a US weapons test.

The analysis seems to suggest that this too is the fault of the Commies. For nearly a century the mainstream news was all propaganda and only gossip carried any truth. So at this point anything which comes from the "experts" sounds suspect, and those denying the official story are deemed more worthy.

Combine that with a luny-tunes at the top controlling the media, and any reality-check is far far away.
