OK, if you're going to make a post on the article about us, I'll add a couple cents here.

Virtuous Pedophiles (virped.org) is an organization of pedophiles (or whatever term you prefer) who are committed to never acting sexually with a child in the future. The ground rules of the support group are that we do not discuss the concept of adult-child sexual activity being accepted some day -- we do not generally discuss arguments against it either. Anyone here who meets the requirements is welcome to join. I realize that the recent prolific posters are unlikely to want to. In the past a couple people who joined from here said they felt more comfortable in a group without the pro-contact message.

The website is a rare spot where pedophiles can acknowledge their problem and seek help to keep their impulses under control,

For the record, this line makes us groan too. But given where the public is on this issue, this is a liberal view. If we want the average person to have the beginning of sympathy for us, the hook we have to work with is often how to protect the children.

The Virginia-based National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children, for example, fears that sites like Virtuous Pedophiles operate merely under the guise of helping pedophiles remain celibate, but instead enable them to trade tips and tricks on how to groom children for sexual purposes.

It's worth a moment to think about this. From where they stand, VP and GirlChat and the darknet where CP is traded are all the same thing. From what some of you say, I would expect you would lump VP together with the above group. The gulf is huge if we can sit somewhere in the middle and seem indistinguishable from the enemy to both sides.

Funny how Cantor seems to be the only "scientist" who gets mentioned behind this research. Where is the scientific consensus? Doesn't seem to have any.

I'm not sure, but I think Cantor is one of the few who takes the time to make media appearances. Most of them don't really relish being pilloried as a pedophile apologist. Cantor is more pro-pedophile than 95% of the population, I'd guess.

I've also just started a blog, celibatepedos.blogspot.com. It's mostly aimed at society at large, not a discussion with other pedos. I'm just getting started, and so far one thrust has been trying to convince ACLU members that we deserve human rights.
