Songs are tricky, because nearly everyone in which an adult male singer praises the hawtness or forwardness of his "little girl" was written for a 19yr old groupie.
Its really dang hard to tell the intentions of the songwriter; even those who chased 13 year olds :) OTOH, Lemon Incest a duet between singer/songwriter Serge Gainsbourg and his 12 year old daughter Charlotte is a bit less ambiguous; even if its sincerity is doubtful. Charlotte had a nice film career as a tween, and continues to act. She is the muse in Lars Von Trier's "depression trilogy" ( Antichrist, Melancholia and Nymphomaniac. ) Charlotte's breathy child vocals on the early songs aren't as good as her adult albums. Also, some young performers are amazing. I have a fondness for Smoosh!. And, while I'm not immensely fond of operatic singing, I do like the DVDs of Jackie Evancho's performances. Dante |
