I would hope not; given the mission statement.

The job of the Mods and Committee is to facilitate the conversation. To do this they need to keep the forum alive and try their best to keep the posters safe.

What that convo turns out to be is up to the posters.

For the most part, the goal is a celebration of Girls and GirlLove.

In practice that means treating GLers as the folks whose houseparty this is, with Antis and Nons as welcome guests if they can behave respectfully. ( So its not exact parity because folks are given more leeway to celebrate than to be critical of the celebration. Eg: Hyperbolic generalizations that ALL GLers are morally advanced will probably not earn a Mod "Ping." But hyperbolic arguments that ALL GLers are morally backwards might very well earn a "ping." The "celebration" is the context against which we judge the "ad hominem." )

I believe that even the enigmatic and quiet Mods and Admin serve a purpose by keeping the place around. If you look at the last decade and all the attacks, BC and GC stand out as survivors.

But I hope that the Mods and Admin have no unearned respect outside of their roles.

I've been corrected by NFiH on grammar, languages and about half my opinions on "Nabakov." ( sic )

Baldur has set me straight on Conservatives, Gun Rights, some particulars of Expat friends of his and all things relating to the proper American dialect ( Southron. )

GC has a vast body of expertise widely distributed among its members. And a lot of opinions too.

I'd hate to see the convo be "steered" in any particular direction as a matter of policy.
