where?when?

There are no areas where a child gets to choose her husband or choose to marry. There are no areas where child-marriage is valued in its own right for its own sake ( outside of an early-start on a union between adults. )

But as for the cultures where girl's have no say and a man's marriage to a woman starts before she is an adult...... the oft cited ones are Yemen, Bangladesh, Iran and Northern Nigeria; with Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia coming in for good measure.

Then ask yourself whether, in those regions any freethinking about personal interpretations of Islam would be tolerated? Or even arguing that some features are purely cultural and are not supported theologically?

Northern Nigeria has one of the highest rates of child-marriage in the world. But as a GLer, not only do I want her free to choose, I'd rather prefer that she be complete: without bits forcibly cut off. Finding an unmutilated child-bride would be rather difficult there. But they also believe in the death penalty for apostasy too.

I believe that if the locals thought I was a Pedo, I'd be dead a lot faster than if my present neighbors knew.

But all sorts of misreadings of Islam give rise to the false conflation of Islam and Pedophile tolerance.

Its strange that you have all the knowledge you claim to, but don't know which Muslim regions practice some form of child-marriage. Its easy enough to answer your own questions if you want to.

Just Google "Islam" "child-marriage" and "today" to find lists of Muslim cultures which practice their version of child-marriage in the present. Asking others to do the basic research to back your claims makes you dependent on their info AND their errors.

Heck, you might have a better choice of key-words and sources than me. But you'll never know it if you don't try to learn to answer your own questions.
