We frown on posting a link just to have posted the link.

From FAQ 15;

"The only justifiable reason for posting a link to a picture is if it is genuinely important to the content of your post; and, it is legal in the UK, Canada and the US."

"Furthermore, since we are not a picture or video trading site, the link should be illustrative of a post, not the point of the post."

What do we mean by "illustrative?"

I think its best to imagine how your post would look with the link removed.

Linking for its own sake isn't something we delete on sight. But we do warn against it. And we do step in when it starts dominating The Board.

Its one way that Anti-infiltrators like to post. Their content might give them away. And having no original content allows them to have a presence while contributing nothing original.
