It is unfortunate that you feel so about your family, but taking a possition that is unpopular will always hurt your family life. Gays, blacks, Hispanics, jews they all lost countless family and friends while trying to ratify their convictions and to expect things to change without losing something dear in unrealistic. And ask yourself how forgiving your family would be if you shamed them by acting openly as a pedo activist. I feel they might not be so forgiving when the hardships come calling.
