But dogs do not have the huge social component to sex that our culture does (obviously there is still a social component to it)- they are too stupid. Dogs will regularly rape each other and its not a big deal. They'll try to avoid it, but they'll continue being friends with their rapist as if nothing happened. A dog that chooses to have sex with a human is not going to be forced to see a psychologist till it is harmed psychologically. Even if you could convince the dog it was raped, it wouldn't care. If they danger is a lot greater, it does make sense that the level of competence has to greater.

Of course the problem is the culture- which should be fixed.
