RLY?

So first "we" network. And then you wait for others to provide the ideas and the labor?

I would suggest that networking will happen when there is an idea.

Further, not all ideas require the same sorts of networking; so building the network prior to having a use for it doesn't necessarily make sense.

And, not all projects which aim at our goals are mutually compatible. There is no reason to believe that having a singular community is better that a diffuse community. Some goals require out public faces. Some require anonymous vocal nicks. And some require uncredited actors not showing any visible sign. We can't require them all to unite behind one project.

Of course some will burn out. What is a reasonable timeframe? Yesterday is good. Anything less than yesterday will have to be in it for a longer haul. Heck, anything less than yesterday will have to do something because it is the right step, not because they will see "the Rapture" on X day. Setting dates for "the Rapture" is a way to lose followers. Followers who know that the proper timetable was by Yesterday. And calling out others for having failed to produce "the Rapture" by yesterday just means that you've eliminated those who were not only here for the long-haul, but who were already started.
