Physical contact is necessary for thriving.

Experiments which deny contact are unethical in humans; although Ceausescu era orphanages are the largest modern test-case. Even with other primates this can be observed.

There is no argument that anyone "needs" sex the same way they need air. So in theory an immoral eugenics program could select who would be allowed procreative sex and deny all others sexual contact. And yet.........

Human cultures strongly correlate more sex. more frequent sex, and more sex purely for pleasure with being peaceable and civil. The more sex-denying the culture, the more aggressive towards self and others.

There's no reason to believe that these traits spontaneously arise at puberty.

True, nobody should be forced "for their own good." But neither should a necessary human need be denied because another can't see "what good this does."
