And old Finnish grammar pun that still manages to be funny.
"Ensin mennään saunaan, sitten syödään vasta." The Finnish word vasta is two different words: on the one hand it means "not until" and on the other hand "a bath whisk" -- sauna terminology, you see. Though the word order in Finnish is much more relaxed than in many other languages -- the suffixes give you the correct meaning, after all -- it is still important. The correct form of the above sentence is: "Ensin mennään saunaan, sitten vasta syödään" = first we go to sauna, only then do we eat. But if you say "Ensin mennään saunaan, sitten syödään vasta" it means "First we go to sauna, then we eat the bath whisk". A big job! Maybe it tastes better with a lot of mustard and ketchup?
