Glad to hear it. And who says she has to give up dancing? The pianist Paul Wittgenstein lost his right arm in the first World War. That didn't stop him from playing the piano. He began learning how to play with the left hand only, devising techniques to play chords that were previously believed impossible for a single hand. He commissioned pieces composed purely for the left hand and arranged a number of pieces for the left hand on his own. Dancing with a missing leg is no less impossible than playing a piano with one hand.

If little Jane wishes to, she can find a way to continue dancing. She may not be able to dance the same way, but people are quite resilient when they are determined. We've all heard of amputees who run marathons on prosthetic legs. If this little girl really wants to dance, I'm sure she will dance, and I'd strongly encourage her to try when she has her strength back.
