I really hope some antis read this post.

If an alcoholic goes through AA and is dry for a year or more, they celebrate. Their friends celebrate. Their AA group celebrates. Everyone respects them and feels good on their behalf.

If someone withstands temptation (I think of Christian circles in particular) they earn respect and are viewed as mature and/or responsible.

What most of society does not realize is that most pedophiles do NOT engage in sex with children for whatever reasons. We sacrifice our sexual life. We often MUST and DO remain celibate - something that in the adult Christian world earns the ultimate respect (Monks and Nuns). We must ignore our attraction to our friends' children and must choose to suppress those feelings. We make, by much of society's standards, the ultimate sacrifice.

And it goes unknown, unnoticed, unrespected.

If society can ever comprehend the level of sacrifice most of us engage in, many will feel ashamed of the witch hunt they are now engaged in. To that end, I have set up a system where if I die or become incarcerated long-term, my very honest and blunt "outing" document will go out to several universities' sociology departments, B4Uact, a few relatives, and several newspapers. It describes my history, my desires, my sacrifice.

I would encourage anyone here to set up something similar, at least in the case of your death. The incarceration option could potentially cause further legal problems (I may actually undo that part of my system). My system involves one lawyer, several friends, a bank deposit box. The friends and relatives will be shocked by the information, but the ones I have included in the system I THINK will be faithful to forward stuff to papers and universities.
