With adults, I will start small. A conversation at a coffee house with a stranger. The more I open eyes towards strangers the higher the possibility these strangers talk with someone else creating a domino effect. The issue with this is that words could be change further along the line.

With children which I already do is to teach them to not rely heavily on prejudice. I personally know a homeless man who is very intelligent and kind but has some psychological issues like schizophrenia that keeps him from getting on his feet. When you see him, he resembles the stereotypical homeless man. I have taken my nephews, nieces and cousins to see this man, and before I had them meet him, I told them to tell me who he is. When they got to meet him, they were shock how wrong they were about him. My favorite saying to children is to open your eyes and ears to everyone because when you have them shut you won't be able to learn.
