Even granting the premise that KP must be criminalized, the rest just doesn't follow.
The guy will never come back to the United States. He is also outed so German (and European) police forces know to watch him. Unlike other offenses, in the case of KP, outing severely reduces your chances to offend again. If he isn't a producer (and the charges are not about production) then it's not even like nabbing him would "save" an American child, or any child, directly. He is a lone offender, so it's not like you are even going to break down a network or gang. And fighting extradition cases is goddam expensive even if you win them. So it simply doesn't make sense. If this is not an exhibit of the irrationality of hatred, what would be?
