But I have no idea why these "liberals" keep trying to spin it into a gay rights issue. While the same sex aspect of this relationship may have spurred the parents to call the cops as soon as the girlfriend turned 18, asshole parents do the same thing every day to 18 year old boys who are dating their 15 year old daughters. The legality is entirely based on the ages involved, not the genders. The notion that this doesn't happen to 18 year old hetero guys is total BS. But of course these so called "liberals" are totally hardwired to only recognize and point out biases based on gender, race, and being gay, but not based on age or attraction to minors, even when the so called bias isn't even there in the former and is totally there in the latter.

Between the conservatard zombies in this country (like the parents and the prosecutors) and the libtard zombies (like the media commentators who spin and confuscate the issue) we're about fully stocked with retards of all stripes, and actually we're a bit overstocked at the moment, i.e. we're fucked.
