:)
As I read the article and the comments, the only thing that came in my mind is confusion. I don't understand where a T-shirt would make closeted pedophiles salivate.
Welcome to the club.
I get confused by, well, a lot of this crap. My favorite was when someone tried to claim that padded bras for preschoolers were 'enticing pedophiles.' I on the other hand think they're a little confused as to what that word means, and refer them to the notion that if I wanted a partner with an F-cup, I probably wouldn't be dating the flat-chested. Or anyone under the age of 30 and/or with less than five children.
Wierd little... umm, abject self-negation, that one...
...but at the end of the day, remember one thing : someone paid money for almost every story you read (and most of the comments) to be there. Ratings exist for a reason : you are the product being sold.
'n this creates a situation which should be familiar to, for instance, anyone who survived the fall of the Weimar republic; since the thoughts and values are paid for, they might not reflect what you think. More pertinently, they might not reflect what anyone reading the article thinks, and in fact, it's entirely possible that no one actually thinks what a fairly well-controlled media structure is being paid to pretend people think.
This can create a situation in which, with a little money, everyone believes that everyone else believes something that actually, no one thinks. When they're too afraid to say anything - paid advocacy that inspires hatred, such as the fall of the Weimar or the current situation, often causes such intimidation - or if assembly, association, and talking to real people in non-formal situations is prohibited, it's entirely possible to not only maintain this illusion but completely stamp out all evidence of the dissident thoughts which everyone actually is having. This is called "manufacturing consent," in media-political analysis, and has been responsible for more governmental actions than any form of legitimate democratic initiative... but, all evidence of the truth, that no one believes this, is deleted.
It's good to know how the game works, especially lest it happen again. In the meantime, all evidence suggests the entire media blitz is... a hoax. Hustler's toddler ⚠️ ↗ and onesie ⚠️ ↗ sections do have a lot of in-your-face apparel, but "barely legal" isn't one of them - nor do their women's tees ⚠️ ↗ offer it for adults. It... looks like it's a fraud.
This is nothing new; I've seen other frauds, including the great jenkem hoax️ ↗ and a charming "anti-"methamphetamine advocacy piece which claimed ephedrine is hard to synthesize (it's not) and has no natural sources️ ↗, so hoaxes happen, well... a lot in media. It appears this is one (of many) of them...
Dang, there's my 3-site link limit... anyways, media is a game, and a sad one - and it runs off controlling information and isolating you from your peers, then selling you. So, it's good to know how the game works...
Oh, and welcome to the world. You might, actually, be in the majority - we just can't tell unless the paradigm changes.
